1. Disney park: working as a princess seems to be the first thing that comes to people’s minds when you tell them you want to work at the happiest place of earth. Well, think again. There are a number of roles here that are just about as magical as being Cinderella, trust me.
•cast member – being a cast member varies from being a shop assistant to helping escort a character around to working at a refreshments stand. There are a number of roles you research into
•fur/face character – a fur character is a character that is in a full suit and aren’t allowed to talk, they include for a few examples, mickey and his gang, bugs life crew and toy story characters. Face characters on the other hand are princes, princesses, few other characters
To audition or apply to any of these roles you can either apply for ICP which is the international college programme where you can do internship at Disneyworld Orlando which is perfect for your summer bucket list and the most efficient out of all the points listed to get started in summer. You can check if your university is eligible with this list.
Or there are a number of auditions and job roles going just keep in touch with their careers twitter account.
2. Animation studios: there are two studios you might want to work with and that’s a) Walt Disney studios aka MGM or b) Pixar
With both you would have to have a good higher education degree in animation, an amazing portfolio and the determination. This is a very demanding job you need to stand out. You would usually have to begin as an intern there and work from there.
3. Store: can’t go all the way to another country to get your dream job? Well a Disney store is just as good. First of all you should check where your closest store is and see if you can actually make the trek. If you can, go onto their official website to see if there is any jobs available. Usually, because it’s a popular job you should also check with the store directly and try to give your CV to them. If it fails keep trying, of course, give enough breaks in between so you don’t annoy them enough to ban you from the store
4. Specialised travel agent: I know quite a few people who specialise in helping people with their Disney esque holiday, and although you won’t be over there you can talk about what you love all day.
